Durability of Refractory Metals

The book specifies heat methods of calculating the actual mechanical durability of such refractory metals as vanadium, niobium, rhodium, hafnium, rhenium, iridium and seaborgium.

The results of the calculation of a number of physical parameters of the above metals, being not previously defined, are given for the first time: density at boiling point, critical density, as well as limit strength at linear and volumetric stretching strain at helium temperatures.

The monography can be useful for students — physicists, metallophysics, teachers of solid state physics courses, engineers of research institutes and industrial laboratories.

Dlitel'noe vremya rabotal v dolzhnosti starshego nauchnogo sotrudnika NII upravlyayuschikh vichislitel'nikh mashin. Zanimalsya issledovaniyami fizicheskikh svojstv i rezhimami primeneniya novikh poluprovodnikovikh priborov i integral'nikh skhem v izdeliyakh vichislitel'noj tekhniki. Neskol'ko let prorabotal nachal'nikom laboratorii fiziko-khimicheskikh issledovanij v NPK «TEMP». Organizoval izmereniya elektricheskikh parametrov i issledovanie optimal'nikh rezhimov polyarizatsii p'ezokeramicheskikh elementov razlichnikh tipov. Yavlyaetsya avtorom okolo 30 pechatnikh rabot, sredi nikh 13 monografij, v tom chisle po fizike prochnosti chistikh metallov.
